1. Overview

At ZenFlix, we prioritize your privacy. While we now offer optional user accounts for an enhanced experience, we still adhere to the principle of collecting only the necessary information to provide our services. ZenFlix does not host or store media files on its own servers.

2. Data Collection & Authentication

ZenFlix does not store any media files. All video content is hosted and served by 3rd party providers. When you play a video, you are interacting directly with these external services.

For users who choose to log in, we use Discord OAuth2 for authentication. We only collect and store your Discord unique ID, public display name, avatar URL, and email address to manage your account and personalize your experience. We do not have access to your Discord password or other private data.

If you choose to track your progress, your watch history and status are stored securely in our Supabase cloud database. This data is used solely to provide the "Continue Watching" and progress tracking features across your devices.

3. Storage & Cookies

For guest users, we use your browser's local storage to track watch progress locally. This data stays on your device. For logged-in users, this data is synchronized with our secure database.

ZenFlix does not use tracking cookies for advertising or profiling purposes. Essential cookies are used by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you logged in. Any other cookies set during media playback are generated by the 3rd party media hosts.
